With surge capacity exceeding 2.5 billion medical masks and more than 3.2 billion gloves annually, Medicom stands ready to support health systems worldwide in the event of another global health emergency.

Montréal, Angers, Hong Kong – June 8, 2026 – Medicom Group (“Medicom”), a global leader in infection prevention and control solutions, reaffirmed today its readiness to support governments and healthcare systems during public health emergencies through its extensive global manufacturing network and surge-ready production of medical masks, respirators, and gloves.

Amid evolving infectious disease risks, including Ebola and Hantavirus, and ongoing geopolitical uncertainties that can disrupt global supply chains, Medicom continues to prioritize preparedness, resiliency, and operational agility. As the only fully vertically integrated manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) with a fully diversified manufacturing footprint across North America, Europe, and Asia, Medicom is ideally positioned to rapidly scale up production and redirect its capacity to where the need is most critical during times of crisis.

 SURGE CAPACITY ACROSS THREE CONTINENTS

In North America, Medicom can surge production to deliver up to 115 million N95 respirators annually, alongside up to 350 million medical masks, supporting a rapid and sustained response to increased demand across healthcare systems.
In Europe, Medicom’s surge capacity enables the production of up to 300 million N95 respirators, 500 million medical masks, and one billion nitrile gloves annually, ensuring continuity of supply for critical PPE during a public health emergency.

This continental manufacturing presence also reflects Medicom’s commitment to producing locally for the markets it serves: in Canada and the United States for North America, in France and Europe for European markets, and in Asia for the Asia-Pacific region—reducing reliance on distant imports and strengthening each region’s health sovereignty.

Together, this scalable capacity spread across three continents enables Medicom to rapidly ramp up production, activate its contingency capabilities, and support governments and healthcare systems worldwide in the event of a new pandemic or major health crisis.

“Preparedness is built into our operations,” said Guillaume Laverdure, CEO of Medicom. “By investing in diversified manufacturing, surge-ready equipment, and long-term partnerships, we ensure Medicom can respond decisively, protecting frontline workers and ensuring continuity of supply when it is needed most.”

Medicom continues to invest in production expansion and specialty manufacturing, reinforcing its long-term commitment to supply security, resiliency, and global public health preparedness.
