Accelerator free nitrile glove designed for wider palm, shorter fingers (powder free)
Ocean Pacific® Lab Master®Nitrile Medical Examination Gloves with Textured Fingertips
These versatile all-purpose gloves provide all the protection and strength of nitrile without the chemical accelerators commonly found in nitrile gloves. DermaSense technology eliminates accelerators to reduce the risk of skin reactions. Chemo-tested, accelerator-free.
Medicom medical examination gloves are “single-use” (disposable). They should be changed or disposed of safely after each task. Healthcare personnel should change their gloves for each new patient, when moving from a contaminated part of the body to another part of the body to avoid cross-contamination, as soon as any holes/rips/punctures appear, or every 20 minutes.
Why are powder-free gloves sometimes more expensive than powdered?
Powder-free gloves can be more expensive due to the process required to remove powder coating from the glove. However, powder-free gloves cause fewer allergic reactions because they have a lower protein and chemical content. Powder-free gloves are also cleaner to use because they do not leave residue on clothing or surfaces.
What are “accelerators”?
Most nitrile medical examination gloves on the market contain accelerators. Accelerators help "cure” the gloves during the manufacturing process. While most glove wearers do not have any reaction to these accelerators, some people are sensitive to this class of chemical. Those individuals may experience a type IV allergic or dermatitis (inflammation of the skin that is typically characterized by redness, itchiness and a rash).
