Medicom Inc & the SafeTouch® Brand Proudly Support Hope & Cope15/12/2008 In December 2008, Medicom Inc. proudly donated $15,217, representing a percentage of the proceeds from annual sales of SAFETOUCH® specialty examination gloves, to Hope & Cope. Hope & Cope, and its newest venture, the JGH Hope & Cope Wellness Centre located in Montreal, respond to the psychosocial needs of cancer patients and their caregivers. Under the guidance of a professional staff and with the assistance of close to 400 cancer-experienced volunteers, Hope & Cope offers a wide range of programs and services free of charge such as nutrition, exercise, yoga, qi gong, relaxation, support groups, one-to-one peer mentoring and art therapy. The focus is on helping patients to regain a sense of control, reduce isolation and learn how to live well with and beyond cancer. Given that all services are evidence-based, Medicom’s generosity will help to further Hope & Cope’s ongoing research into cancer survivorship and wellness.
